Beach

Just remember to turn around.

Mae's Place has over half a mile of beachfront just for you. Now, this isn't Miami. The sand isn't white, there are no crowds of people jostling for sun, worried about their tan But there are rocks and shells and lobster traps. Look for sand dollars, beach glass, a crab scurrying under a rock. You may see a seal or two. And you can walk and walk and walk around the edge of the Island - literally. Of course there's lots of room to spread out a towel, and you can swim here, too.

The popular sunbathing, lifeguarded, sand'n'surf destination of Panmure Island is a two-minute drive from your front door.
